Constructed originally as a portal framed agricultural storage building, this 650m2 building was centrally located on the west side of the main axis through the farm, with through access to the western paddocks.

 

The Client had, in the diversification of the farm, repurposed the building to house stabling for the new livery yard. With the continued growth of the business, the Client was looking to further expand, providing additional facilities. These additionl facilities were enviaged as either, accomodation for a full time member of staff, i.e. a yard manager or as emergency overnight accomodation for livery customers with unwell horses.

 

JMP Architecture, working with the Client proposed the redevelopment of an existing mezzanne floor. Located over the main enterance to the building and providing a one/two bedroom flat, with open plan kitchen dinner.
